Dear Mr. Ketonen,
It is quite unfortunate we could not meet last weekend in Moscow. As you probably remember, my name is Eduard Sagitov and I am Senior II dancer from Moscow Russia (HODF 2010, 2011 and 2013).
I'm writing you regarding the currently-under-question WDSF Senior Competitions during the DancefoRUm in April this year. Russian seniors face now a very strange policy of the Russian DSU to prohibit the ONLY regular WDSF Senior Competition we had in Russia. In order to have a chance to keep it running in 2014, they (RDSU) require us (Seniors) to provide (by March 3rd) some kind of "guarantee" that the minimum of 4 participating countries shall be present. Currently, we have dancers from 3 countries (Russia, Belarus and Montenegro) confirming participation.
Given that Finnish citizens do have less obstacles getting the visa to Russia (compared to the rest of Europe), I would like to ask you to send to the Senior dancers in Finland (whom you know) the following short letter (below) from our group of Russian Senior Dancers.
Kind regards
Eduard Sagitov
Senior II

Dear Friends and colleagues in DanceSport!
The Senior Dancing in Russia faces now very difficult situation whereas the Russian DanceSport Union (RDSU) goes against all the worldwide trends to widen the Senior dancing and intends to prohibit the ONLY regular WDSF Senior Competition we had in Russia.
As you know the Russian Senior Dancers do actively participate in Senior competitions in Finland. Some of you probably remember we took part therein when they were FDSA, not WDSF competitions yet. Therefore, we kindly ask you to consider participation in a WDSF (should it happen) Senior competition in Moscow 11th to 13th April 2014 and write us a short letter (to the e-mail address:
Sagitov@lanit.ru) confirming your participation.
Dear Friends, we NEED your voice, please help us to keep the Senior Dancing running in your neighbor-country.
Should you have some knowledge of Russian Language (just to register), you also may join us at
